EHOAW has achieved a significant milestone by enrolling 27 vulnerable women in a comprehensive three-and-a-half-month vocational training program, which kicked off on May 21, 2024, in the western district of Kabul province.
This initiative focuses on equipping vulnerable women with tailoring skills, toolkit, and basic information about life skills, hygiene, and mental health to help them secure their livelihood income.
The EHOAW educational team has designed an essential training program covering tailoring, entrepreneurship, marketing literacy, and awareness programs. Female participants benefit from the tailoring course and receive additional education on basic market literacy. Trainers are guiding them on finding markets for their products, calculating income, and managing small businesses.
In addition to vocational training, participants also receive guidance on mental health and physical well-being. Trainers offer advice on protecting mental health, especially during challenging times, and avoiding depression. The aim is to empower women to lead healthy lives and build successful businesses independently.
These training sessions are designed to provide vulnerable women with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive and become self-reliant.
The educational and vocational training will continue on daily regular basis until December 21, 2024. Upon completion of the program, each participant will receive a tailoring toolkit, and they will also receive monthly financial assistance during the sessions.
