Over 800 copies of the First Aid booklet reached the hands of people affected by the devastating earthquake in the western part of Afghanistan- Herat Province.
A series of devastating earthquakes hit Herat provinces, demolished a number of villages, and resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries.
EHOAW acted urgently and sent around 800 copies of the health educational booklet, titled The First Aid, to Herat province in the western part of Afghanistan. Our local field colleagues went to the affected areas and distributed the books among people living in tents and permanent camps.
We believe, this will help people affected by the series of devastating earthquakes who do not have access to such resources. Here are photos of book distribution in several affected villages in Herat Province, such as Koshak-Zenda Jan, Mahla-e Wardak, Shaydiyee, Pul-e Pashton, Pule-e Malan, Arg fourth, Malik Yar, Islam Qala, and Koshkak village.
Distribution of The First Aid Booklet program was a small yet significant initiative towards providing basic healthcare knowledge to the people affected by the earthquake. The program not only provided essential knowledge but also empowered the people to take care of themselves and others during emergencies.
