Education and Health Organization for Afghanistan Women (EHOAW) began its operations in 2016.
There is a lack of involvement of girls and women in public activities as well as a lack of access to education and awareness regarding health, democracy, Human rights, and social and legal issues, while it is quite clear that discriminatory laws and social customs against women hinder them to enhance their self-growth and enjoy equal status in the society.
Considering the growing poverty in Afghanistan, systematic exclusion of women from society, lack of access to basic services for ordinary citizens, and depriving girls of school and university urge us to take action and tackle this problem to the extent we can.
In 2020, we decided to register our organization as a non-profit NGO, and we were successful in doing so. As a result, we expanded our services to six provinces throughout the country.
This entity has been registered in the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan since 2020/12/8 and its Register Number is 5059.
A society without poverty, illiteracy and disease where women’s and girls’ basic rights are respected, their roles in development are recognized.
Our mission is to enhance the capacity of women by providing them with vocational training, their access to healthcare services, and safeguarding their fundamental rights. We strive to empower women and promote gender equality in all aspects of their lives.
