Workshop on Humanitarian Negotiation

A two-day training workshop organized by UN Women, Frontline Negotiation CCHN, and Gender in Humanitarian Action took place on 28 and 29 April 2024 in the UNOCA component – Kabul. The training session, titled Humanitarian Negotiation (Onsite), aimed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively negotiate in humanitarian contexts.

Representatives from EHOAW, Ms. Zainab Rezaei, and Hussnia Rasa, actively participated in all training sessions. The training covered a wide range of topics, including challenges, negotiation context analysis, leveraging influence, scenario design, and simulations. After the workshop, each participant received a certificate to acknowledge their completion of the training.

The training concluded with a reflection and closure session, allowing participants to reflect on their learning journey and consolidate key takeaways. Through discussions, they identified areas for personal and professional development moving forward.

The workshop provided participants with comprehensive insights, practical skills, and strategies to navigate humanitarian negotiations effectively. Through a combination of presentations, exercises, and simulations, participants gained valuable experience and knowledge, empowering them to address the complex challenges of negotiation in humanitarian contexts.
